Movie - Cellular (2004)

Said to be cool Cellular movie (Final Call - Wenn er auflegt, muss sie sterben).

Movie Is being made - in 2004.

CONT: As Ryan drive through the construction holiday camp beside the sheet contained by both adoration roll fuzz mire splash uphill antagonistic the coupe and cover the unrestricted driver's haunch door with finances of capably as the windshield even so Ryan trash completely lone of any signs of mud., FACT: When the shooting occurs at the Santa Monica Pier, the responding officers are from the LAPD. Since the pier is within the Santa Monica city limits, the correct responding agency would be the Santa Monica Police Department, not the LAPD., CREW: Early in the movie when Ryan jumps in his truck, he closes the door and a crew member wearing a hat is clearly visible in the side window., FAKE: The Nokia 6600, used by Ryan to record the video showing the kidnappers executing people supports a maximum of 176x144 pixels when recording. However the clip displayed on the phone has a much higher resolution., CREW: When good cop Mooney fights bad cop Dimitri in the walkway by the pier near the end of the movie, the face of William H. Macy's stunt double is clearly visible at least once (when he's being shoved back into the wall), and both stunt doubles are semi-clear a couple other times in that sequence., CREW: When the mobile gives a low signal, seconds later in the attic you see a moving shadow of a crewman, since Kim is the only one there and she is not moving at the time., CONT: Ryan records Chloe on his cellphone at the pier and she tells him that he is "iresponsible, self-centered and completely childish". When he watches the recording in the truck, she never says "self-centered"., CONT: When real estate agent/husband is at the bank safety deposit box, he pulls his key from what is clearly a box far too small to have stored the camera bag he withdrew., CONT: Before Ryan goes driving in the construction site, the cell phone switches from being on the seat to in his hands and then back on the seat again., FACT: When Jessica Martin clicks the wires together to make a phone call, she first has wires apart and then taped them together to make contact for very brief seconds. This is contrary to how pulse dialing telephone systems work. In real life, you'd have to do the opposite. The wires should make contact, and then, break contact very rapidly for the number you wish to dial., CHAR: When Jessica cuts the goon's arm she tells him that he will bleed 30 liters/minute. The blood flow through a brachial artery is nowhere near that much. During vigorous exercise the entire heart puts out a total of 30 L/min, but that's the sum total flow through every artery of the body. The flow though a single brachial artery is fraction of that. In addition, the goon was not vigorously exercising. At rest, the cardiac output is about 5 L/min., CONT: When Ryan robbed the store to get a charger for his mobile phone, he connects the charger to the phone in his car. A few moments later the charger is gone., FAKE: In the scene where Craig is brought to the attic, you can hear Kim Basinger start to say "Richard." The character of Craig is played by Richard Burgi., CONT: When Ryan is in the boathouse, he does not appear to be wet after diving into the water., CHAR: At LAX airport, when Ryan steals someone's boarding pass, the security only checks his boarding pass and does not ask for any ID like they would at the real LAX., CONT: SPOILER: When Jessica strangles the bad cop in the van, the chain of her handcuffs/shackles gets longer and longer: first it looks like 10 inches (25cm), but when she removes the keys from the cop's jacket pocket, her left arm is behind the seat. To do that, the chain has to be at least 15-20 inches, and you can see that clearly. (Why would cops use shackles or fetters anyway? They would use handcuffs with a very short chain.), CHAR: When Jessica is speaking to Officer Mooney, she clearly states that five men broke into her house. There were only four men involved and a female officer (Baybeck) who was not shown until after Jessica was taken to the safe house. Only three of the four men were shown entering the home., FACT: At Santa Monica Pier, Ryan was caught by Chloe when he was talking on the phone with Ethan. The cops came, but Ryan jumps off the pier and into the sea. Then we saw him coming out off the water and hiding inside a warehouse under the pier. And when Ethan is about to kill Mooney, Ryan calls him with his cellphone. Unless the Nokia 6600 were waterproofed he wouldn't be able to do that call., FAKE: When Ryan steals the school security guard's car, he drives off without having to switch gears (the car would have been in park or neutral).
Crazy Credits: The first part of the closing credits show cast and crew names on cellular telephone screens.
Jack Tanner: I muse all the chemical from that abandon lower than a bout salon enjoy gotten to your stance.::Mooney: It's a *day spa*, you fuck.::[Mooney hesitate a modicum, after show Tanner Ryan's Cell Phone, facade facing Tanner's face], Ryan: "Ricky Martin"? You named your kid "Ricky Martin"?, Jessica Martin: When I didn't show up for work today someone called the police, I'm sure.::Greer: You better hope they didn't., [Talking to the fake Jessica Martin]::Mooney: We had a report of a possible kidnapping. You haven't been kidnapped today, have you? [Chuckles], [after he views the tape]::Ryan: I'm a dead man., Ryan: You know, it does me no good to hand over the video tape and then you guys turn around and take us out.::Greer: I swore I wouldn't do that.::Ryan: Like you swore "to protect and serve"?, [Mooney shoots someone for the first time in his entire career]::Mooney: 27 years. 27 years without this shit!, [Greer has Ryan pinned down and is about to shoot him]::Mooney: Let him up.::[Greer looks up and sees Mooney pointing a gun at him]::Ryan: Help me. They're dirty cops!::Greer: He attacked my partner. He tried to kill me.::Mooney: I said, "Let him up."::Greer: You're going to believe this lying piece of shit over a cop?::Mooney: It doesn't matter what I believe. What's important is that you believe I will put a bullet in your skull if you don't let him up., [last lines]::Jessica Martin: I don't know if there's anything I could ever do to thank you::Ryan: I do. Don't ever call me again., Chad: [greeting girls at the pier] Hey Chloe. Sam. Friend with nipples., Chad: [seeing Ryan with a box of fliers to pass out] Haha - that sucks. [Ryan shoves the box at him] No way! This sucks more!, Ryan: [after stealing the lawyer's car] Ohh, I am in deep shit!, WLSUU2 Lawyer: [trying to get his car out of the impound lot] Okay, fine... I'm getting out my checkbook. Who do I make it out to? "Lady Who Sucks?", [after slashing a kidnapper's arm with a shard of glass]::Jessica Martin: Tenth grade biology. Brachial artery... pumps 30 liters of blood a minute. There's only five in the human body. I'm sorry., Ryan: It's Chloe!::Chad: No, dude, don't do this! Don't do this!::Ryan: I'm just gonna say "hi."::Chad: You're not gonna say "hi."::Ryan: No "hi"?::Chad: No "hi."::Ryan: I can't say...::Chad: [shouts] Come on, man! Hold it together! This girl, she *dumped* you, all right? Have some self-respect, have some dignity!::Ryan: You're right.::Chad: Be strong.::Ryan: You're right.::Chad: Yeah.::Ryan: Thank you.::Chad: All right. [he gets distracted by girls in bikinis] Oh! What's goin' on, ladies? [Ryan leaves to go talk to Chloe], Ryan: [Ryan and Ethan are discussing a place to meet] Santa Monica Pier.::Ethan: No, too busy.::Ryan: Yeah, that's kind of the idea, dickhead., [talking to Ryan on a payphone]::Chad: Dude, I have no idea what just happened. One minute I'm talking to nipples, next thing you know, I'm wearing a whale costume handing out flyers.::Ryan: [laughs] That sucks. Sounds like she got you.::Chad: I mean, I'm not saying it doesn't have its benefits.::[to two girls that pass him by]::Chad: Hey, you guys know that a blue whale's got an 11-foot penis? Heal the Bay., Ryan: Excuse me, are you a detective?::Detective Looking Guy: Detective? I'm a freaking victim here. Detective? Those freaks dragged me down here. And they're supposed to read me my rights.::[Ryan takes off]::Detective Looking Guy: And they - hey, where you going, you little punk?, [Ryan accidentally dials an artist on a payphone at Santa Monica Pier trying to reach Jessica's kidnappers]::Ryan: I got what you're looking for.::Vietnamese Artist: Oh?::Ryan: Yeah.::Vietnamese Artist: Okay, and what I do for it?::Ryan: What?::Vietnamese Artist: What I do for what I looking for? You tell me now.::Ryan: Wait, who's this? What number did I call?::Vietnamese Artist: You call me on the payphone. You waste my time. I have pictures to draw.::Ryan: Whoa, whoa, whoa, dude. Chill out.::Vietnamese Artist: No, you don't tell me what to chill. My mother tell me to chill. I sit here, I draw people telling me to chill out all the time. You don't tell me what to chill. I chill you., Ethan: [on walkie talkie] We found him yet?::Dmitri: No, I don't see him.::Ethan: He's the one on the cell phone, you idiot.::[looks through his binoculars and sees various people on cell phones]::Dmitri: Everybody's on a cell phone., WLSUU2 Lawyer: [Talking on his cell phone] I'm tellin' ya, I'm sitting in it right now. It's a brand new Porsche Carrera. The partners gave it to me. Mm-Hm, sugar. Brand new, arctic blue convertible. It goes zero to 60 in 5.2 seconds. Takes the girls' panties down in 3.5 seconds. [Phone line gets suddenly disrupted by Jessica and Ryan] Hey, this is a private call. Get off my line! Mom, are you still there?, WLSUU2 Lawyer: [after Ryan swerves his car in front of him] What the hell is your problem, man? What the hell is your problem? You want to tussle?::Ryan: [pulls out his gun] Give me your phone!::WLSUU2 Lawyer: Oh snaps., Ryan: Look, give me your phone or I shoot your car.::WLSUU2 Lawyer: Oh, hell no, hell no. Why would you do something awful like that?, Ryan: [after shooting the number taker in the store] Now who's gonna give me that goddamn charger?, [first lines]::Ricky Martin: Mom, will you still be a science teacher when I get into high school?::Jessica Martin: Hmm... You never know. Why?::Ricky Martin: 'Cause I think it'd be kind of weird to have your mom as a teacher., Ryan: From here on out, you do as I say, exactly as I say. Or I slap this bitch on "Nightline" and call it a day, okay?, Jessica Martin: [screaming and crying] You've got the wrong family! You've got the wrong family!, Ethan: [to Jessica] Do you want to die here?, Jessica Martin: [screaming and hitting Ethan as he threatens to kill her son] He's a baby, you bastard! He's a baby, he's a baby!

'Eric Bress' (qv) and 'J. Mackye Gruber' (qv) did uncredited rewrites of the script., On the 5 August 2004 edition of _"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (1992)_ (qv), 'Kim Basinger' (qv) said that when she was talking on a cellular phone while standing outside a movie house bathroom waiting for a friend, she became very annoyed at the small, rude crowd that had gathered around to point and laugh at her. It was only after her friend exited the bathroom and pointed out that Basinger was standing directly in front of poster for "Cellular" that depicted her talking on a cellular phone did she understand why everyone was laughing at her., 'Larry Cohen (I)' (qv) worked on the script while he tried to get his screenplay _Phone Booth (2002)_ (qv) sold. In a New Yorker article he says he wrote the film with the intention that it would be the direct opposite to Phone Booth (Phone Booth is about a man trapped on a phone in a booth, while this movie is about a man who is still trapped on a phone but can go anywhere). However, his friends told him that he had written the same screenplay twice., Several references to New Line Cinema (the financing studio) throughout the film: - New Line Chairman 'Robert Shaye' (qv) has a cameo as the irate man in the police station. - Ricky's backpack is that of _The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)_ (qv). - At the kidnappers' house, the New Line Cinema movie _Final Destination 2 (2003)_ (qv) is playing on the television. - Producer 'Dean Devlin' (qv) has a cameo as the cab driver who drives Ryan., This film was set to be 'Dean Devlin' (qv)'s directorial debut, but he decided to produce instead., When Ryan is at the LAX, you can hear the boarding call for "Flight 180 to Paris". That is the same plane that blew up in _Final Destination (2000)_ (qv), also from New Line Cinema., The phone Ryan is using is a Nokia 6600., 'Chris Evans (V)' (qv) did his own car stunts. Before production began, he was trained for five weeks at a Los Angeles stunt school. Most of the stunts are done by the actors themselves, also., The tattoo on Ryan's right arm is the Japanese Character for "Loyalty" and "Honor", the defining heroic trait of this otherwise completely ordinary boy., The phone that Ryan is using is actually not functioning, but he did have an earpiece in so he could talk to someone., Inspired partly by the LAPD Rampart scandals in 1999., SPOILER: In earlier scripts Jessica Martin ('Kim Basinger' (qv)) was in on the scandals.
